Challenge #101-107, March 12-March 18, 2011: I wanted this challenge to start on a Monday, as it is a one week long challenge. But Monday was 100 day, and I just couldn’t pass that up.
My mom has taught me so many things in my life, but one of the most important is to always be thankful. Once, in order to have a cell phone that I wanted, my mom told me that I had to write down five things I was thankful for each night for a month. Even as a young, teenaged girl, I understood the importance of this. I think that so often, we forget about things that are important, things that impact us, that make us happy, that improve our lives. We put so much attention on the things that impact us negatively, that we forget just how many good things there are out there. This week, list 5 things you are thankful for every night. Think back on your day, and try to remember the small (or big) things that made a positive impact on your day. I know that this challenge is similar to the ‘list 100 things that make you happy,’ but I think it takes it a step further. It makes us reflect on the positive things that happen every single day. I will keep track of my five things on here (starting Wednesday, when I get home). Feel free to do the same.
