Challenge #143

One of my biggest pet peeves is when people hit the ‘close doors’ button on the elevator so that more people don’t come in. I simply don’t see the point of it. Will a few seconds really matter? Why not let the doors close on their own time, and give whoever else needs the elevator a few more seconds to get there?

Challenge #143, May 23, 2011: Today, don’t hit the ‘close doors’ button on the elevator (if you take one).

I am searching for nothing and absorbing everything. My eyes are open--I am wondering, I am wandering. I was made to run, to think, and to write. And that is what I plan to do.

  1. Chris Howard says:

I won’t be taking any elevators…but I will apply this challenge to my life metaphorically…or as Uncle John would say-theoretically speaking:)

  2. Stef says:

I ride elevators multiple times every day I’m at work – and I’m always the “annoying” person who holds the door if I see someone else approaching (much to the chagrin of the other passengers). But I really like Chris’ metaphorical approach; a wonderful challenge for me to undertake!
