Challenge #185

Challenge #185, July 4, 2011: It was strange spending the 4th in a different country. Seeing other cultures and countries has really made me realize how much I took mine for granted, and how much there is to learn about other countries. Tonight, regardless of what country you are from, take some time to think about what it means to live where you do, and how it has shaped you.

About onechallengeaday

I am searching for nothing and absorbing everything. My eyes are open--I am wondering, I am wandering. I was made to run, to think, and to write. And that is what I plan to do.

I wrote about this a bit on my blog yesterday; one of the things I really appreciate about (American) Independence Day is that it is a holiday truly *everyone* in the country can celebrate. I love the ‘unity’ aspect of this holiday; there aren’t many like that for us in the US… http://smilekiddo.wordpress.com/2011/07/04/holiday-habit/
