Challenge #155

Challenge #155: Remind yourself: This too, shall pass. This is something that my mom has told me many times in my life, and it is something that is important to remember. Whether thing are going great or terribly, you can know for certain that life will not stay stagnant. So appreciate the good things while you have them, and accept and learn from the bad until they are gone.

About onechallengeaday

I am searching for nothing and absorbing everything. My eyes are open--I am wondering, I am wandering. I was made to run, to think, and to write. And that is what I plan to do.

This is one of the “big three” tenents of Buddhism (and other spiritual practices as well). If we can cultivate tolerance and acceptance for everything, we will attain true wisdom, indeed.

I am glad to be reminded of this…thanks. And I am glad to hear that you use it. Sometimes when you or someone else is going through something tough, I think of this but feel that saying it to that person while they are in the throes of despair is not the right time. I may be wrong…
