About

I am a 21-year-old runner. Not a trackstar or cross-country champ. I run away. My feet itch to go–to go anywhere and everywhere. And so I follow them. I allow myself to find meaning in the places I end up, the situations that I fall into. But I want to be reminded of the meaning within each and every day.

It is important to allow life to sweep you away, but it is just as important to remember that opportunities lie with each rise of the sun.

This blog is intended to help me (and you) remember.

Good thoughts – in my own way I do the same. Not running though – more like fast-walking. And like you, I try to make the most of every single day that’s given.

  8. Articulate and encouraging! My favorite line: “And so I follow them.” It was very poetic =)

You are so on the right track. I am a 52-year-old woman, and I was certainly not as together as you appear to be at your age. I have subscribed to your blog. Very cool stuff that will make a huge difference in the lives of others.

I am in the process of working on a larger inspirational website/blog, but for now, here is my mobile picture 365 blog, which is a small bit of inspiration for folks on a daily basis.

I will be mentioning your blog over there.

You are in the business of inspiring others whether you realize it or not. Stick with it. You can’t go wrong.

    • This comment absolutely made me smile! I also just followed your blog in blogspot–I love the pictures. I think my favorite is the one that says ‘Do one thing every day that makes you happy.’ Such a good message!

I’ve seen several of this Life Challenge blogs over the last few weeks and am contemplating one on my own (lots of change for me recently). I am curious as to where you get your daily challenges? Do you have a list or is each day random/spontaneous or did you read a book or some other resource?

Looks great — Keep it up!

    • Keith,
I mostly make up each challenge based on what I feel I personally need to work on for the day. If something happened, or if I responded to something in a way that I shouldn’t have, or if I just notice myself doing something I don’t like, I often make the next day’s post about that. My mom has given me a few ideas, and occasionally I will happen upon a blog or website that will spark ideas. Usually I just sit down to write a challenge and something pops into my head. 🙂

I haven’t seen any other challenge blogs–where did you see them? I’d like to check them out!

Thanks for looking at my blog and commenting! Good luck if you decide to start your own. Keeping this blog as really forced me to work on things about myself. Sometimes it is hard to keep up, but overall I’m very happy I am doing it. Let me know if you start one, I will check it out!
